Welcome to Autumn

Here in the Hunter the trees are turning and the weather finally has been typical of the time of season; perfect, crisp mornings and warm, sunny days. A favourite time of year for most people, giving a reprieve from the summer heat we’ve been enduring, I am sure you will agree.
The response to our 10th anniversary edition was very gratifying and well received with congratulatory message from readers and advertisers.
We’re sure this will definitely become a collector’s edition with those readers who now prize their magazine collection, many having every edition from number one.
The lucky winner of a 5-day holiday to Nambucca Tourist Park (Page 149 Ed 60) was Joanne Taylor of Brandy Hill, who will share the holiday with her family of five.
Congratulations Joanne – we hope you have a memorable and relaxing holiday.
This edition takes a nostalgic look back at the famous Beach Girl contests which were once a social highlight in Newcastle, and we feature the re-run of the well-known Redex Car Trials, which will pass through Maitland next month to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the inaugural 1953 Redex Trail won by Maitland’s Ken Tubman.
Again we have so many inspiring people stories and wonderful homes, all with a difference, which will give home owners inspiration and of course contact with the specialty tradesmen who build the homes. It’s all here on your backdoor.
Happy reading everyone.
