Editors note

Hello Readers,
The last days of winter are drawing in and we all no doubt look forward to warmer weather and the most beautiful season of all – spring.

After looking at dormant and deciduous shrubs and trees for three months, it will be a change to see new buds appearing and leaves growing back for another season. Just imagine; the winter hibernation is almost gone and we can look forward to some superb, warmer weather.

I guess many of our readers have been looking forward to receiving their next edition of “Hunter Lifestyle Magazine”, which is free from any celebrity gossip, and more importantly, any political reference. You know what I mean!

Our “new look” last edition has been met with overwhelming success and the vibes have definitely been most positive that our readers and advertisers alike enjoy the new openness of the pages and the various subtleties we have introduced.

In this edition we feature some amazing residences for you to have a peek at and hopefully glean some ideas for your place. We have some interesting interviews with some amazing people who live in the Hunter.

A visit I had with a group of grandparents caring for their grandchildren was very humbling, as they are doing such a wonderful, selfless task in raising them with much love and care. See our Kinship story ‘Pearls of Wisdom over a Cuppa”.  Perhaps you know of someone in that same situation, so reach out a hand of friendship and offer some help. They need it at times.

Spring heralds garden time, so the Maitland Ramble is off again over the weekend on 18th and 19th September.  You can always learn a tip or two from the dedicated gardeners who open their gardens in the name of a worthy charity.

Our new website is up and running and now you can order a subscription or gift subscription any time of day or night to suit you.  Visit our subscriptions page here.

Of course, you still are most welcome to phone 4930 3366 or fax 4930 3396 if this is more convenient.  I find it is great to have a chat to you, our readers, on a personal level whilst taking your details and renewals.

After this edition we only have two editions to go until Christmas – where has the year gone? Hope you enjoy reading Edition 45.

Until next time,
Best wishes and regards to all,
